Adult education is an ongoing topic in the Danish and international political-economic debate, yet surprisingly little is known about the impact of adult education. The purpose of this report is to achieve a better understanding of the impact of public-sector, co-financed VEU initiatives from a broad perspective, including labour market connection, pay increases, productivity, job development, retention, mobility, continued participation in training, absence due to illness and the risk of disability retirement. The work for the Danish Ministry of Education was carried out by AKF under the auspices of Det Nationale Center for Kompetenceudvikling (NCK).
