Tracking nurses in the labour market
– A quantitative and qualitative study of job opportunities for and retention of nurses

Many parts of the public-sector labour market are experiencing a shortage of skilled employees. This is particularly true of nursing. Ensuring a sufficient supply of qualified nursing staff is not only a challenge in itself, it is equally important to find ways of keeping nurses in the job, using the skills they were trained in. This is why AKF and Dansk Sundhedsinstitut (the Danish Institute for Health Services Research) have made this study of the nursing labour market.
