The Danish labor market has a major shortage of skilled employees, e.g. on the Professional Bachelor Programs for among others pre-school and leisure time teachers, teachers, nurses and BSc engineers. In addition, the drop-out rates are high on many of these important programs. AKF has investigated drop-out rates, and emphasizes the need to strengthen the cohesion between theory and practice, strengthening the common professional social communities and student-teacher relations. Professional support and personal help for the students with problems in addition to the subject-related aspects are also clear goals, and teaching frameworks are required.
