The number of under-30s in the Danish population is now historically low. Ten years ago it was 200,000 higher, and in ten years' time it will again be 100,000 higher than it is today. Even the continued construction of dedicated housing for this age group in coming years will nevertheless leave the great majority to find a home through the ordinary housing market, in competition with the rest of the population. This raises the question of what requirements young people must be able to satisfy in order to find a satisfactory housing solution. It also raises the question of whether there are young people who will find it difficult to satisfy those requirements, and, if so, what the response of society should be.
