There is a big difference among the different municipalities regarding how quickly foreigners become self-supporting. A large part of this difference can be explained by the fact that the municipalities have different conditions for their integration efforts. This survey takes into account that both the group of foreigners and the municipal framework conditions are different from municipality to municipality. The survey also shows that even when adjusting for the municipal conditions for the integration effort there is a big difference in the municipalities’ success regarding integration. The integration success is measured for both new and old municipalities.
