The report concerns the question how work – the content of the work, the working environment and other working conditions – shapes and influences the resources and work expectations of individuals throughout their working life. The study covers approximately 3,000 45-59-year-old women employed in the public sector from four occupational groups with different qualification requirements.
The study shows that the 45-59-year-olds assess their resources very differently. Different working conditions appear to create different preconditions for individuals in the age group 45-59 and thus different possibilities of making a productive effort in their later working years.
