Eskil Heinesen's research is mainly concentrated on the following areas: 1) The effects of school resources and social inheritance on schoolchildren's education and career; 2) the effects of unemployment on health; 3) benchmarking analyses of integration in the municipalities measured by immigrants' employment and self-support; 4) determinants for the municipal expenditure to the basic school; 5) the effects of living in socially deprived housing areas. The research is based on econometric/statistic methods. The data basis is especially register data, but also questionnaire surveys and municipal economic data.
