Jacob Ladenburg

Associate Professor, PhD Jacob Ladenburg has a profound knowledge of cost-benefit analysis, environmental and resource economics acquired through his studies at the previous Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (now part of the University of Copenhagen) as well as through his involvement in a number of projects for Danish and foreign clients. Jacob Ladenburg is an expert in assessing the economic benefits conferred by intangibles such as recreational values, changes in house prices and biodiversity. Projects he has worked on include an assessment of the detrimental effects of off-shore wind farms, and he is an international leader in the economic evaluation of visual disamenities from offshore wind farms In addition Jacob Ladenburg has plenty of experience in implementing cost analyses in connection with different policy related initiatives, both on an international and interdisciplinary plane. These include the health sector, marine and land-based traffic planning, environmental initiatives, sustainability strategies and, as mentioned, off-shore wind farms. Finally, Jacob Ladenburg is a member of the Danish Sports Fishing Associations committee for water and environmental conservation where he is an expert on welfare economics and the benefits of angling.
