Dorte Caswell

Dorte Caswell’s area of research is social work, particularly within the field of employment. She especially focuses upon how job centres deal with their weakest clients — cases where job centres combine their efforts with other forms of social intervention. She is interested in the use of standardised methods and tools here and how they influence the work with the client. Generally, she uses a qualitative approach, and is concerned with improving methodology. As a research programme director she works with building relations and creating an exchange of knowledge between research and praxis at local and regional level.
