Development of competence and supplementary training

AKF's research includes subjects within development of competence and supplementary training, e.g.:

  • How important is lifelong learning for the individual's prospects on the labour market and for the size and productivity of the labour force?
  • Who participates in adult and supplementary training? Here we look at social background, education, age, gender, ethnicity, line of trade etc.
  • What can be done to strengthen the participation in adult and supplementary training of weak readers and those least educated?
  • Is adult and supplementary training an effective strategy for people with a weak attachment to the labour market?
  • What role does the organisation and personnel policy play with regard to the private and public places of work when it comes to participation in adult and supplementary training?
